1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using freeOCR.me, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable local, national, and international laws. If you do not agree, you are prohibited from using this service.

2. Permitted Use & Fair Usage Policy

freeOCR.me is provided free of charge for personal, academic, and commercial OCR conversions. You agree to use the service in compliance with fair usage guidelines:

  • Base Session Limit: 100 MB free per conversion session without registration.
  • Extended Session Limits: Users may voluntarily extend capacity up to 1 GB per file by viewing rewarded video advertisements (+50 MB boost per ad).
  • Rate Limits: Maximum 10 document upload requests per minute per IP address to safeguard infrastructure availability.
  • Prohibited Content: You may not upload files containing malware, trojans, ransomware, or materials that violate intellectual property or criminal laws.

3. Document Ownership & Intellectual Property

You retain 100% full ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights to all documents you upload and all searchable outputs synthesized by the service. freeOCR.me claims zero intellectual property rights over your data.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

freeOCR.me is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. Optical character recognition accuracy depends on input scan resolution, lighting, and document condition. While our AI neural engines strive for maximum fidelity, we do not warrant 100% error-free transcription.

5. Modifications to Service & Terms

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features, limits, and these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
